Fans of the die-cast collection of Cars characters have good reason to be excited — shipments of the Cars 3 Precision Series Fabulous Lightning McQueen started arriving in homes today.
Back in June, Kmart held a special event and if you purchased five Mattel die-cast cars, you could mail away for an exclusive never-before-seen car.
While rumors swirled that it would be the Precision Series Fabulous Lighting McQueen, we were ecstatic today when we opened our box and confirmed the news.
The Precision Series of cars and Radiator Springs playsets feature rubber tires, opening hoods/tires, and much more — and we can’t get enough. In the spirit of the new Fabulous Lightning McQueen release, we reviewed the Precision Series car, standard 1:55 Mattel die-cast, mini Mattel die-cast, and the 1:24 scale Jada toys version.

As of now, the Precision Series version of McQueen isn’t for sale individually (and there isn’t an official release date listed), but we’ll be sure to update this post if it goes on sale. In the meantime, you can purchase the car from others who have listed their versions on eBay using this direct link.
