The long-awaited Roundup Rodeo Barbecue Restaurant coming to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios shows signs of life as scaffolding has now appeared. The restaurant was first announced in 2019, with the planned opening set for 2020. However, the Covid pandemic had other plans and left the project idling. In January 2022, Disney shared the news that the restaurant would be open by the end of 2022.

Thanks to WDW News Today, we see our first look at the scaffolding set up on the front exterior of the building, showcasing signs that construction is underway. During the latest D23 Expo (held in September 2022), we hoped to hear some news on an opening date; however, no additional details have been revealed.

Before the scaffolding appeared around the exterior, Twitter user bioreconstruct shared an aerial shot of the Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant, revealing crews working on the footpaths and ground areas.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to submerse ourselves into Andy’s world and dine amongst our favorite Toy Story toys while dining on delicious BBQ food by the end of the year.
