Toy Story Hotel at the Tokyo Disney Resort Officially Opens

The new Toy Story Hotel at the Tokyo Disney Resort opens its doors today April 5, 2022

Calling all Pixar fans! The highly anticipated Toy Story Hotel is now officially open. However, you won’t be seeing this resort stateside, as the Toy Story Hotel resides at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Thanks to the Disney Parks Blog, we can see an inside look into this new hotel. The resort stands 11-stories high and features 595 guest rooms. With any Pixar-themed area on Disney property, both Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios teamed up to create an all-immersive and complete storyline for guests.

Once you step inside the hotel lobby, guests will feel as if they’ve shrunk down to the size of a toy with theming similar to that of Toy Story Land at the Walt Disney World Resort.

One of the already highly anticipated areas of the hotel is the gift shop named Gift Planet. To enter the shop, you must be a current hotel guest and have a Gift Planet reservation. I think we already know that the Pixar merchandise at the overseas parks tends to be the best and we know that Gift Planet must be filled with some incredible new Toy Story gear.

Guest rooms feature elements from Andy’s room, including a Mickey Mouse watch clock, an Etch-A-Sketch TV, a red desk lamp, and a toy-chest themed murphy bed.

This new Toy Story Hotel is bound to be a popular destination for guests — however, what can we do to get more of this amazing Pixar-theming stateside at either the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort? I mean, there have been rumors that the Paradise Pier Hotel at the Disneyland Resort may undergo similar theming, what do you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
