Fandango has just revealed a great teaser poster for Disney/Pixar’s newest animated feature Monsters University, opening June 21st, 2013.
Fandango was also on hand during the November 24th University of Southern California football game where fans viewed a scene from Monsters University.
” The scene we were shown from MU featured our likable heroes Mike and Sulley prior to their adventures in the first Monsters movie, when they were getting to know one another at school, and particularly their time studying to be “scarers.” After getting booted out of the illustrious program, the two decide to join a fraternity called Oozma Kappa, recruiting all types of strange-looking monsters who hope to up their thrill quotients. While reminiscent of a G-rated, animated Old School / Revenge of the Nerds, the clip definitely showed potential for admirers of Pixar’s brand of fun.” noted Fandango.

In addition, Focus on Animation (UPDATED: Link removed as the site is no longer active) just released an international version of the Monsters University poser. You can clearly see Mike’s childhood stuffed animal on the bookshelf, but if you look at the clock on the desk you can see that the time is 1:13….very clever!
From the looks of these posters, we are more than excited to join in on the journey with Mike and Sulley as they hit the books and venture through college life in 2013!
