Join Buzz and the space ranger crew as they traverse their way through five levels in the downloadable Lightyear x Minecraft mini-game. Your goal is to thwart Zurg’s evil plans, but along the way, you’ll have to use your laser blade against a slew of alien bugs and gather mission details from the robot cat, Sox.
What’s funny is that the game was available on June 17, 2022, but we didn’t spot it until this past weekend (July 16) in the Nintendo Switch Minecraft Marketplace. How had we missed it? Upon searching further, the official Minecraft team announced that the Nintendo Switch version would be “coming soon” due to “a recent battle with Emperor Zurg.” We appreciate some good humor in the face of a delay.
You can purchase and play the Lightyear DLC in Minecraft by opening the Marketplace on your Minecrafting device and downloading it there.
