Billy Crystal shares new ‘Monsters at Work’ Clip on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Billy Crystal was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live on June 23 and shared a new clip from Monsters at Work – watch it here.
Monsters at Work Dangers of Comedy Clip

Yesterday, June 23, legendary comedian and voice of Mike Wazowski, Billy Crystal chatted about his career and upcoming series Monsters at Work while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

In the new clip Crystal shared, Mike bursts into song to describe the potential dangers of comedy to a group of scarers. Of course, his meeting is to inform scarers that they will now be collecting laughs instead of screams.

Although Mike has sung during his fake rendition of the company play, “put that thing back where it came from or so help me,” this did surprise us to see him singing plot points. We wonder if there will be additional songs due to his “Wazowski Entertainment” title at the top of his slides.

The clip, from the Jimmy Kimmel Live YouTube, starts at 11:38 into Crystal’s interview — followed by an additional conversation about the show.

We loved seeing some of the old and new monsters from Monsters, Inc. as well as Monsters University like “Roaring” Rosie Levin (from HSS) or Carla “Killer Claws” Benitez (the veteran scarer), and more. It will be interesting to see how many characters they reuse from the prior films.

In addition to the new clip, Disney+ recently announced the title and description for the Monsters at Work episodes airing throughout July.

JULY 7 — EPISODE 1 — Welcome to Monsters, Incorporated (Premiere)

When Tylor Tuskmon arrives at Monsters Incorporated to begin his dream job as a Scarer, he discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in.  As a result he is temporarily reassigned to MIFT, the Monsters Incorporated Facilities Team.

When Tylor is initiated into MIFT during a bizarre ritual, he wants nothing more than to get away from his odd coworkers.  But when an emergency strikes Monsters, Inc., MIFT kicks into action and Tylor develops a hint of respect for the misfit team.

JULY 21 — EPISODE 3 — The Damaged Room

When a human baby’s room is damaged by a Jokester, Tylor has his first experience working with MIFT on the repairs.  While the room is repaired, Mike and Sulley must take care of a human baby.

JULY 28 — EPISODE 4 — The Big Wazowskis

Hoping to get in good with Mike, Tylor signs MIFT up to be Mike’s bowling team for the annual Monsters, Inc. Bowl-off-a-thon… only to discover that everyone at MIFT stinks at bowling.

The Big Lebowski Monsters at Work

With the title of Episode 4 being a play on The Big Lebowski, we wonder if there will be references to “The Dude” during this episode as well — especially since John Goodman (voice of Sulley) is in that film.
