Incredibles 2 World Premiere

On the evening of June 5, 2018, the stars (vocal actors and Pixar artists) came out to celebrate the World Premiere at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood, California. The finish line was one that wasn’t easy to get to, but when you get there you can feel the joy in Brad Bird as showcased in the Live Stream video embedded below.

In addition to the excitement for our favorite “supers” return to the big screen, the filmmaker’s behind Pixar’s latest short film Bao, Domee Shi (Director), Becky Neiman-Cobb (Producer), and Toby Chu (Composer) were on-hand celebrating their success.

AMC IMAX Q&A Session

On Tuesday, June 6 a special Q&A session was held with the vocal cast and filmmakers of Incredibles 2 (presented by IMAX at AMC). The nearly 40-minute long Q&A didn’t reveal too many new details however, Huck Milner (Dash) did note that if he could have any super-power he would want super-speed just as his character — because in real-life he is really slow.

As Sophia Bush (Voyd) spoke to the moderator and the audience, you can feel the passion she has for Pixar and the project itself as she explained technical details that she learned while working on Incredibles 2 — including her utmost respect for the studio.

During the Q&A, the moderator pointed a question to director Brad Bird inquiring if there should be a mix of Marvel’s Avengers and the Incredibles? Brad Bird immediately squashed that idea by giving an example of mixing all the elements of your Thanksgiving dinner — sometimes food (and stories) are more enjoyable separately. Whew, what a relief to hear that.
