Andrew Stanton to Direct Two Episode of the Netflix Series, ‘Stranger Things 2’ – Updated

Pixar director, Andrew Stanton will direct two episodes of the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things 2.

Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Andrew Stanton, the creator of WALL•EFinding Nemo, and Finding Dory (among other writing and creative credits within Pixar) will be directing two episodes of the binge-worthy Netflix show, Stranger Things.

Stanton, who will direct episodes five and six of the 1980’s nostalgic show, came into the role by picking up the phone and chatting with Executive Producer, Shawn Levy (Night at The MuseumReal Steel). Levy noted, “Andrew called me out of the blue and said, ‘I love it. I would be honored to be part of it.’”

The news has created quite the buzz online, and we’re excited to experience Andrew’s return to live-action since directing John Carter.

Updated: Andrew also recently tweeted an image of his Director’s chair on the Stranger Things set. The tweet has since been deleted, but the text is below.

Thx for the well wishes. The ST cast & crew are so special. What an honor to be invited into the Byers’ home (literally).
