During our recent interview with many senior members of the Disney Infinity team, we discussed the potential of an updated game guide to encompass the new characters and playsets that have come out since the official release in August. Although we haven’t seen an official announcement just yet, we spotted the Disney Infinity Revised and Expanded: Prima Official Game Guide with a scheduled release date of February 11, 2014 (was originally listed for December 20, 2013 release). UPDATED: The book’s release date has been rescheduled with a March 14, 2014 release date.
This release will include the updated character releases of Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Phineas and Ferb, the Toy Story in Space playset, as well as the wave 2 and 3 power discs (and much more).
So, what is the official game guide and what does it do for you? The game guide to Disney Infinity is something that we use all the time (in the playsets specifically). The guide shows complete maps for each playset as well as the location of all of the missions, red/green capsules, challenges, and many other hidden items. Since we really enjoy completing each playset from start to finish, this allowed us to check off the missions and items we found, so we know we’ve truly completed the playset. Unfortunately, there’s really no other way to know that you’ve completed a play set in its entirety since the game itself doesn’t tell you.
If you are looking for tips, tricks, and a great way to track the progress of your Disney Infinity game, be sure to check the revised game guide out now.
