Pixar to Preview ‘Gatto’ During 2026 Annecy

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival, held June 21-27, 2026, will feature a preview of Pixar’s upcoming film Gatto, releasing March 5, 2027.

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is the largest and most prestigious animation festival. Held annually in the lakeside town of Annecy, France, the festival attracts many animation studios that tend to premiere new films, showcase new techniques, or even give glimpses of upcoming films.

During the upcoming festival, which runs from June 21-27, 2026, Pixar Animation Studios will give a preview of their 2027 film Gatto.

If you recall, it was this time last year during the 2025 Annecy Animation Film Festival that Gatto was first announced. The theatrical release date of the film has changed since that original announcement: it is now scheduled for March 5, 2027, rather than June 2027.

Leading the film are filmmakers director Enrico Casarosa and producer Andrea Warren.

We are incredibly excited about Gatto and hope this Annecy preview means we get a short teaser trailer, updated screenshots, or perhaps a cast list.

Gatto will release in theaters on March 5, 2027.
