As the anticipation builds for Pixar’s softball-themed series Win or Lose to hit Disney+, we were thrilled to see this new concept artwork.
Pixar Producer David Lally posted on X that Pixar was setting up a new Win or Lose art gallery at Pixar and shared this early piece of concept artwork.

We followed up with David to inquire about the artist behind this piece. He noted it was by Noah Klocek (Win or Lose production designer).
Noah also created a Win or Lose watercolor earlier this year (via Pixar’s X) that was auctioned as part of a Make a Wish Foundation fundraiser.

WIN OR LOSE RELEASE DATE
First announced as part of Disney’s Investor Day in December 2020, the series was initially slated to be released in the Fall of 2023 on Disney+.
Although the show was completed on time (as confirmed by Director Carrie Hobson on X), the show was pushed to a non-specific 2024 release. We initially hoped that Win or Lose would then premiere in April 2024 to align with the baseball/softball seasons โ but that date passed with current rumors aligning to December 2024.
An official release date may be revealed during the D23 Expo Screenings on August 10, 2024.
D23 EXPO SCREENING

The first two episodes will be screened for attendees of the 2024 D23 Expo (August 9-11) on Saturday, August 10 (6:15 โ 7:15 PM PT) at the Backlot Stage.
After the screening, both Directors, Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, and Producer David Lally will host a Q&A session.
Carrie and Michael will also hold an autograph session at the Expo on Sunday, August 11 (2:30 โ 3:30 PM PT). This is a great opportunity to meet the Directors and get a free piece of concept artwork signed by the duo.
