Pixar’s latest Sparkshort, Self, is now available to watch on Disney+ (as of February 2, 2024). Be sure to also check out the “Extras” tab on Disney+ to stream the approximately 4-minute making-of video, Self Discovery.
The short, directed by Searit Huluf, is Pixar’s first combination of computer graphics (CG) and stop-motion. Self Discovery does a great job of showing the main character and how animation partner Tippet Studio brought the character Self to life blended in the CG world.

My son was so touched this film that he drew a picture representing ‘Self’.
