Time to make room for more emotions, as the brand-new Inside Out 2 teaser trailer and poster have been released. The anticipatory new sequel was revealed during the 2022 D23 expo with news of Kelsey Mann taking the director role, Meg LeFauve as the writer, and Mark Nielsen as the producer.
The teaser quickly draws us back to Riley’s world with Michael Giacchino’s memorable track ‘Bundle of Joy’ gently playing. However, with a flash of Riley turning 13, the emotions quietly resting in Headquarters see a red blinking light.
The soundtrack quickly changes to Ozzy Osbourne’s Crazy Train, followed by a wave of demolition, destruction, and chaos. As the dust settles, the emotions gather around the new control panel and notice it is now orange. As the emotions step back individually, we are introduced to one of the new emotions in Riley’s head — meet Anxiety.

According to director Kelsey Mann, the new character promises to stir things up within headquarters. “Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,” said Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.”

The Inside Out 2 poster reveal gives us a sneak peek at some of the other new emotions that may be popping into Headquarters. If you watch the ending portion of the teaser trailer, you’ll notice that Pixar gives us a quick glimpse into these emotions.
First, we have Anxiety (orange), Ennui – which is a feeling of listlessness and dissatisfaction arising from a lack of occupation or excitement (purple/gray), Embarrassment (pink), and Envy (teal).
