Disney has announced their first-ever Disney+ Day, premiering on Friday, November 12. The day will kickoff company-wide promotions and additional content premiering — including new Pixar content.
Starting at 6:00 AM PST / 9:00 AM EST, fans can follow along with Disney+ on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for first looks, new trailers, exclusive clips, and appearances from Disney+ creators and stars for upcoming content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic.
Other notable benefits for Disney+ subscribers include additional time at Disney Parks, shopDisney exclusive merchandise, and first-looks at special content on Disney+.
Below is a brief round-up of the Pixar-related Disney+ Day events.
PIXAR ROUND-UP
PIXAR TOUR & SNEAK PEEKS WITH PETE DOCTER
Starting at 8:00 AM PST / 11:00 AM EST. Celebrate Disney+ Day as Pete Docter gives a personal tour of Pixar Animation Studios and introduces projects coming to Disney+. The news will include a new Cars series, Pixar’s first long-form animated series, “Win or Lose,” and some behind-the-scenes documentaries on the making of the upcoming theatrical releases, “Turning Red” and “Lightyear.”

CIAO ALBERTO PREMIERE
Ciao Alberto: With his best friend Luca away at school, Alberto is enjoying his new life in Portorosso, working alongside Massimo—the imposing, tattooed, one-armed fisherman of few words—who’s quite possibly the coolest human in the entire world as far as Alberto is concerned. He wants more than anything to impress his mentor, but it’s easier said than done.

AMC THEATERS SURPRISE PIXAR SCREENING
From November 12-14, AMC Theaters will celebrate Disney+ Day with one movie shown from Pixar, Disney, Disney Animation, and Star Wars. (Note, the same film for each studio will be shown on Nov 12, 13, and 14 – so, no need to buy a ticket to each of the Pixar screenings – one will do.)
The best part about this event is that for $5.00, you’ll get a movie ticket and a Disney+ poster. For an additional $5.00, you can get a Cameo drink (Freestyle soda) and a Small Popcorn. You also won’t know what Pixar movie (along with a short film) will be playing UNTIL you the showtime starts. We love this being like a blind-bag movie!
Based on the listed run-time of 93 minutes and the fact that it’s a Rated-G movie, we have narrowed it down to either be A Bug’s Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., or Finding Nemo. Of course, we could be wrong, but we would guess it will be one of those films. (Please be A Bug’s Life.)
UPDATED – the surprise movies are Monsters, Inc. (Pixar), Rocketeer (Disney), Raya and the Last Dragon (Disney Animation), and Rogue One (Star Wars).
