This morning the nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards were announced with Pixar Animation Studios taking 5 total nominations. The Livestream of the nominations was held approximately at 5:00 am PST with Pixar Animation Studios being honored in three different categories – Onward: Best Animated Feature, Soul: Best Animated Feature, Soul: Best Sound, Soul: Best Score, Burrow: Best Animated Short.

Not only were we thrilled to see both Onward and Soul honored with nominations, but to have first-time director Maddie Sharafian honored for her work on Pixar’s Burrow was such a great surprise.
