On Sunday, November 15, the 2020 People’s Choice Awards were held celebrating movies, music, television, and Pop culture. Held annually since 1975, the People’s Choice Awards differs from the average award shows as the categories are voted on by the general public rather than members of the Hollywood Foreign Press and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — to name a few. This year fans cast over one billion votes with Pixar Animation Studios taking home the Best Family Movie Award for the tear-jerking fantasy film, Onward.
Previously, Pixar Animation Studios has won seven People’s Choice Awards for Cars (Favorite Family Movie, Favorite Song), Wall-E (Favorite Family Movie), Toy Story 3 (Favorite Family Movie), Finding Dory (Favorite Movie, Favorite Family Movie, Favorite Animated Movie Voice), and Incredibles 2 (Favorite Family Movie).
