On August 17, the news broke that Incredibles 2 would release digitally on October 23 and on physical media (Blu-ray, 4K, Blu-ray), November 6. Although we still don’t know all of the special features which will be included, today, Brad Bird (Writer/Director) announced one of those special features in a spectacular way.

Moviegoers adored the on-screen energy between Edna Mode and Jack-Jack — but, what happened in between Bob dropping off Jack-Jack in a haze of exhaustion and when he picked him up later? Fans have been asking this very question to Brad, and frankly everyone else for quite some time and now we have an answer.

It should be noted that since this is a mini-movie, it will probably only be a few minutes in length (2 or 3 minutes probably) — assuming the previously marked mini-movies for in-home releases are any indication (e.g., Miss Fritter’s Racing Skoool).

Additionally, folks who were lucky enough to attend the ticketed, D23 Member Tour of Pixar Animation Studios on August 6, were shown the film. Reactions were very positive and induced a lot of laughter, so get ready.

We can’t wait to learn more about the upcoming special features for Incredibles 2, and watch Auntie Edna (which sounds like it will be full of hilarious hijinks). While you wait to watch the short film, check out the book called Babysitting Mode which also takes a look at what happened on their bonding adventure together (video review on our YouTube channel, or click to purchase on Amazon).
