Coco Critic's Choice

‘Coco’ Nominated For Two Critics Choice Awards

Pixar’s ‘Coco’ has been nominated for two critics choice awards including Best Song.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) announced yesterday the nominees for the 23rd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards — and we’re thrilled that Pixar’s Coco was nominated in two categories.

UPDATED – Coco won both awards – see our updated post.

The winners will be revealed live at the Critics’ Choice Awards gala on Thursday, January 11, 2018, on the CW Network from 8:00 – 10:00 PM Eastern Time (delayed Pacific Time).

Coco has touched many hearts with its message of family and we can’t imagine that it won’t ring true throughout award season as well. Unfortunately, Cars 3 was not nominated for these awards, but we hope to see it included in future events as the film definitely deserves recognition for its empowerment messages and visual beauty.

BEST ANIMATED FEATURE

  • The Breadwinner
  • Coco
  • Despicable Me 3
  • The LEGO Batman Movie
  • Loving Vincent

BEST SONG

  • Evermore – Beauty and the Beast
  • Mystery of Love – Call Me By Your Name
  • Remember Me – Coco
  • Stand Up for Something – Marshall
  • This Is Me – The Greatest Showman

Be sure to stay tuned as we’ll update the winners of each category.
