Finding Dory Remains On Top Of The Box Office – 3 Weeks Running

Finding Dory remains on top of the box office for three weeks straight.

Finding Dory has remained on top of the box office for three weeks running and audiences are continuing to support the marine-themed film. The film took the top spot (at $41.9 Million domestic) during the three-day weekend (July 1-3) and is estimated to take an additional $8.29 million on the July 4 holiday (total of $50.19 Million over the 4-day weekend/holiday).

Dory beat out The Legend of Tarzan, The BFG, and The Purge: Election Year, which were all films opening in their first weekend (box office numbers via Box Office Mojo).

Domestic total = $380.5 Million
International total = $167.8 Million
Total = $548.3 Million
