In this brand new Finding Dory concept artwork (first look via EW) by production designer, Steve Pilcher, we get a closer look at Bailey, the beluga whale, and Destiny, the whale shark — a goofy pair that Dory comes in contact with while she’s at a marine life rehabilitation center.

While it’s unclear how Dory gets to the rehabilitation center, we do know that Bailey (voiced by Ty Burell) is there because his sonar ability is “off” and Destiny (voiced by Kaitlin Olson) can’t swim straight.

The article goes on to note that the pair get on each other’s nerves and share a lot of playful banter as they make fun of each other. Among the playful ribbings, they also reportedly play an important part in helping Dory find her parents.

During the 2015 D23 Expo director, Andrew Stanton noted, “In ‘Finding Dory,’ we can expect to address the one emotionally open-ended issue that remained from the first movie: Where is Dory’s family, and will this overly-optimistic fish with short-term memory loss ever be able to find them again?

Her issue has also given us the opportunity to travel to very different locations, on land and sea, and meet a variety of new sea creatures that expand the world of Nemo, Marlin, and Dory.”

One thing is for sure, it already feels like Dory’s adventure will contain the same heart and humor that Nemo had during his journey— we can’t wait to see what’s next.
