In an annual Disney shareholder meeting held today (February 28), Euro Disney Chairman Philippe Gas announced that a Ratatouille-themed ride will be making its way to Disneyland Paris in 2014!
Inside the Magic has revealed some of the details behind this exciting new attraction. “Our new family-focused Ratatouille attraction, which is scheduled to open in 2014, symbolises all of the creativity, innovation and emotion that guests associate with a Disneyland Paris experience,” said Gas.
“By developing this new Ratatouille attraction, we continue to ensure our guests can experience their favourite Disney stories in memorable ways that only Disney can provide. The theme, which is very français, is a tribute to our capital and the unforgettable characters that make Ratatouille the ideal choice for an attraction that fits perfectly at Disneyland Paris.”
Back in June 2012, it was rumored by Eater.com that the ride’s working title was “Ratatouille: Kitchen Calamity”, at this time that has not been confirmed. What is confirmed is our excitement for a new Pixar-themed ride in our beloved Disney parks. The new Ratatouille ride will be joining the list of popular Pixar-themed attractions within the Disney Parks including Toy Story Mania, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Crush’s Coaster, and of course the attractions within Cars Land and a Bug’s Land only to name a few.

UPDATED 4/3/12: DisneyCentralPlaza has just uploaded what appear to be early renderings of the new Ratatouille ride vehicles, which appear to be rat-shaped and true to the trackless ride design that has been rumored.
