Today, Pixar celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the theatrical release of Cars (June 9, 2006). To commemorate this anniversary, Pixar has announced that it will re-release Cars in theaters this Fall, starting on September 4, 2026.
Additionally, Disney has released new Cars merchandise now available on the DisneyStore.com, as well as a Lightning McQueen popcorn bucket now available at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort.
Twenty years after speeding into theaters, Cars continues to draw in audiences, giving fans old and new another chance to experience Lightning McQueen and the Radiator Springs gang back on the big screen.
