Are you ready to enter the Communiverse like Elio? No? Well, maybe this Mattel Storytellers 3-pack of Elio Action Figures will get you closer to the excitement.
The set features the title character, Elio Solís, his new friend, Glordon, and the ever-intimidating Lord Grigon.
Fun Fact: Did you know Elio’s last name, “Solís,” translates to “Sun” in Latin?
To give you an idea of size, Elio stands about 3.8″ (9.65 cm). Glodron comes in at approximately 3.1″ (7.94 cm), and Lord Grigon measures just under 5″ (12.4 cm). Each figure’s arms and legs rotate along with their heads.
Lord Grigon has additional options for posing his six legs because his middle set of legs can also slide up and down (close up below) to give him many varied stances.
It’s also interesting to note that although this set was released in 2025, the copyright date on Grigon’s leg is 2023 (shown below). This is likely because Elio was initially slated to release on March 1, 2024 (now June 20, 2025).
Overall, the toys are right in line with the Elemental 3-pack of toys and many more of the Mattel “Storytellers” line of figures. Mattel always features bright colors, and this set is no different.
Glordon looks amazing with his gold-glitter translucent top that fades to a pretty lavender color. The metallic finishes of bold green and bright blue against the orange accents on Lord Grigon make him a very eye-catching figure, too.
ELIO TOY CAPE DISCREPANCY
It should be noted that some websites show the Elio figure (incorrectly) coming with his cape as well. We’d love it if he came with his cape for playability, but this pack does not include his toy cape. Either this was omitted as a potential choking hazard, or removed for cost or other unknown reasons.
PURCHASING ELIO TOYS
We haven’t spotted the Elio toys in stores yet (though we have heard of people seeing them in Walmart). In the meantime, you can pick them up on Amazon.
