It appears that Disney’s California Adventure may be gearing up for another Pixar-themed attraction opening soon. If you recall, Jessie’s Critter Carousel just opened this past April, and from the looks of some updated construction photos, the new Inside Out attraction won’t be far behind.
The photos (via WDW News Today) showcase how the attraction is set within Headquarters with what seems to be Riley’s core memories at the center of the attraction. You’ll notice how the memory orbs have already been placed on the attraction, however, the guest ride vehicles have yet to be added. If you recall, back in June 2018, on the eve of Pixar Pier’s opening day, the first-look showing concept art of the new Inside Out attraction was released.
While there is no opening date set from Disney, these new photos have us excited that the new attraction may be opening shortly or possibly in conjunction with Star Wars: Galaxy Edge.
Updated May 10: The Disney Parks Blog released a series of posters for the new Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind attraction. Tasha Sounart, Associate Creative Director Theme Parks for Pixar tweeted out some additional insights into these beautiful posters, noting that the layouts were done by Steve Purcell (Pixar, writer/director) and the art was done by Stéphane Kardos (Creative Art Director at Disney) and Stacey Aoyama (Creative with Disney Consumer Products).
