Pixar Animation Studios Announce Schedule of Events for the D23 Expo 2017

Upcoming D23 Schedule of Events to include numerous Pixar Animation Studios panel discussions.

The upcoming D23 Expo is getting bigger and bigger with the release of a few scheduled events including not-to-miss announcements, presentations from filmmakers, and unique displays. The bi-annual event will take place July 14-16 in Anaheim, CA at the Anaheim Convention Center and has grown in popularity that single-day tickets for Saturday, July 15 have already sold out – however, 3-day passes and single-day tickets for Friday and Sunday are still available (UPDATED – Link removed as it is no longer active).

Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios will share the show floor in one incredible animated booth which will feature artist demonstrations, autograph signings with filmmakers, fan giveaways, and incredible interactive displays for all ages. The booth will feature the latest and upcoming films from both studios, including Cars 3CocoOlaf’s Frozen Adventure, and Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. In addition, the official D23 website has released a few key events/panels that Pixar Animation Studios will hold during the magical 3-day event (see below).

FRIDAY, JULY 14

Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Upcoming Films, Hosted by John Lasseter (2:30 p.m., Hall D23) –– Join host John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, as he presents Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Upcoming Films. Watch never-before-seen footage from Pixar’s upcoming feature Coco and Walt Disney Animation’s Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, and be prepared for surprise announcements, musical performances, and appearances by star voice talent. Cell phones, cameras, and all recording devices will be checked for this presentation.

SATURDAY, JULY 15

Creating the Worlds in Pixar’s Universe (12:15 p.m., Stage 28) –– Pixar production designers and artists will literally take guests behind the scenes on a visual tour of the amazing worlds created in Pixar films––from oceans and outer space to mountain tops and “monstropolises.”

The Evolution of Pixar’s Characters (6 p.m., Stage 28) –– Pixar characters are full of personality––from the waves in their hair to the shoes on their feet. Join some of the legendary Pixar artists behind its most memorable characters as they share what it’s like to draw these loveable characters to life.
