Summer is right around the corner, and Love Tribe (UPDATED – The link to Love Tribe’s website is no longer active), a new clothing line from Hybrid Apparel has a great line of princess-themed clothing to complete your look. Dedicated to its brand, Love Tribe succeeds at being a positive change in today’s fashion — one built on love and acceptance with the idea that everyone is different, which is portrayed in each of the apparel designs.
The line, exclusively available at Macy’s features classic Disney Princesses with modern slogans such as, “Princess Squad,” as well as trendy typography similar to vintage t-shirts from the ‘hair metal band’ era. While the Love Tribe collection hits the mark with its fashionable designs inspired by fearless young women, it falls short in one small area for us — we wanted a representation of Pixar’s fiery and fiercely strong, Merida (Brave).
Pixar’s headstrong princess struggles to carve her own path and forge her own destiny, making her an obvious choice for the Love Tribe line. The initial roll-out of the Disney Princess-inspired line did note that the apparel focused on classic Disney princesses; however, we hope to see the inclusion of strong Pixar female characters in upcoming releases.
