The Real Pizza Planet Truck’s Journey From Concept, To Pixar & Beyond

Watch along as the real-life recreation of the Pizza Planet Truck rolls its way into Pixar Animation Studios.
The Real Pizza Planet Truck

If you’ve followed our site for a while, you’ve seen us chat about the real-life Pizza Planet Truck on several occasions. We had an interview with the crew back in 2012, we included a photo of the truck at the 2013 Pixar Motorama, and we even rode in the truck ourselves in May 2013.

The roots of the truck started in 2011 and the crew documented the process from the initial concept meetings to their trip to Pixar Animation Studios, to the 2015 D23 Expo. Be sure to check out the video below highlighting these events – including some great conversations with Pixar employees like Bob Pauley, Mark Andrews, Lee Unkrich, and even a brief appearance by Ed Catmull.

To stay up to date on the latest happenings with the Pizza Planet Truck and to find out where it will visit next, be sure to head to their website at The Road to Pixar and follow them on TwitterFacebook, or Instagram.
