Disney Infinity 3.0 ‘Good Dinosaur’ Preorder & Star Wars: Rise Against The Empire Play Set Hits Shelves

The Star Wars and The Good Dinosaur figures are now available for order for Disney Infinity 3.0.

After a solid month of playing Disney Infinity 3.0 since its August 30 release date, we can confidently say that it is (by far) our favorite version of the game so far. The Star Wars-themed Twilight of the Republic playset is stellar and the inclusion of light sabers and blasters makes for fantastic gameplay in a familiar, yet the new setting of the Star Wars universe. The Inside Out playset also shines in the area of puzzle-style gameplay without having a defined “bad guy” that players have to defeat – making it a favorite family-friendly playset.

If you’ve already conquered both playsets from the launch, be sure to pick up the brand new Star Wars: Rise Against the Empire playset hitting shelves on September 29, 2015. Although Twilight of the Republic had some classic characters from the franchise, it also introduced us to many of the fantastic Star Wars: Rebels characters. The Rise Against the Empire playset in contrast brings classic characters to the forefront with figures such as Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader (Luke and Leia included in the retail play set package).

This playset takes many of the familiar iconic moments from Episodes IV-VI and puts a fun spin on them. You’ll visit Tatooine, Hoth, and Endor as you traverse land (desert, forest, snow) and sky to destroy the death star. Our favorite characters to play from this release are Luke, Leia, and Darth Vader. A set of four power discs are also available for the Rise Against the Empire playset featuring two costume change discs (Luke’s Rebel Alliance Flight Suit and Leia’s Boushh Disguise) and two Toy Box ride vehicles (Y-Wing Starfighter and Slave I).

If you haven’t pre-ordered your Spot character for his November 3 release date, we can’t recommend it enough. There won’t be an official The Good Dinosaur playset, but you will be able to play with Spot in the Toy Box and Expansion games (Toy Box Speedway & Toy Box Takeover) and we’ve heard that he’s quite scrappy and powerful as you level him up and build his skill tree. Along with Spot, there is also a Good Dino power disc pack coming out as well featuring ride-along characters of Arlo and the film’s three T-Rexes (Butch, Nash, and Ramsey).
