Review: ‘Lava’ Soundtrack Now Available (Updated)

Pixar Lava Soundtrack Cover

If you’ve seen Jim Murphy’s gorgeous short film, Lava, there’s one thing that’s certain — you will be singing the theme song for days to come. The ultra-catchy song featuring the smooth vocals of Kuana Torres Kahele and Napua Grieg is now available in digital form and will certainly satisfy your urge to hum along.

Along with the ukulele and vocals, the track also incorporates the full sound effects from the short, with rumbling lava swells, seagulls, and the soft sounds of waves rolling onto the beach. We feel the soundtrack would have been missing something if these extra touches weren’t included.
