Disney California Adventure World of Color Show Concept Art

Toy Story Characters Featured in the New World of Color Winter Dreams Show

Disney’s California Adventure is not only home to the ultra-realistic Cars Land, but it’s also home to the water and light show called World of Color (a hit since its debut back in 2010). The team behind World of Color has just unveiled a new 30-minute holiday-inspired show complete with our beloved Toy Story characters that are featured in their own version of The Nutcracker.

For a behind-the-scenes look at how Pixar created animation on a water surface watch the video below shared by Disney Parks to see a quick glimpse into some of the raw animation – including a peek at Rex with a tutu on (similar to his loofah in PartySaurus Rex). What we found most interesting from the behind-the-scenes look was when Roger Gould mentioned that the area that the show was animated within is three times wider than a standard movie screen.

Our friends from Inside the Magic have uploaded a full version of the Winter Dreams show – to view the Toy Story portion of World of Color, Winter Dreams click ahead to time 16:45. It was great to see that the Toy Story portion of Winter Dreams showcased the majority of our favorite characters from the franchise, as well as feature the iconic Pixar ball.
