Third Monsters University Trailer Released – now with more slug teeth comments!

Monsters University Screencap Randy

The third Monsters University trailer was released last week and since we’ve seen the movie, we can officially say that although there is a lot of new footage in the trailer, it doesn’t ruin the plot or give away any major moments. This trailer is fun-filled and really sets up the amount of action that is packed into this movie – get ready for June 21, 2013!

Finally, since we mentioned the difference in the size of the slug’s teeth between the Japanese version of the second trailer and the American version of the second trailer, we thought we should note that in this trailer (third), the slug’s teeth are longer (as they appeared in the Japanese trailer).

When Julie attended the MU press event at Pixar studios she mentioned to Director, Dan Scanlon that we had noticed the change in teeth size and Dan was amazed that we saw that. He said that he chose to elongate the slug’s teeth because he felt the shorter teeth weren’t humorous enough – the longer teeth made the slug look goofier. If you watch both clips (the Japanese trailer and Second MU trailer links are below), you’ll notice that not only have the teeth changed, but some mouth movements also changed slightly to enhance the humor.
