UPDATED April 17, 2013 – We now have official confirmation from Pixar that Pete’s film will in fact be called Inside Out (as anticipated).

Updated February 8, 2013: The website ComingSoon is reporting that the title for Pete Docter’s “Untitled Film That Takes You Inside The Mind” will be titled “Inside Out”, with a release date of June 19, 2015.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding the title for Pete Docter’s newest project – The Untitled Film That Takes You Inside The Mind. Bleeding Cool is reporting (UPDATED: Link removed as it is no longer active) an unconfirmed title for this film as “The Inside Out.

“We’ve now heard that the film is on the verge of getting an official title and that title is almost certainly going to be ‘The Inside Out’. That title hasn’t yet been cleared, but it’s the one Pixar wants. Barring any problems with getting the name okayed, we can probably expect it to be announced soon.”

While nothing is confirmed, this title does have me thinking about how original the concept of the film actually is. The journey into a mind is a place that relies on imagination as you can’t just hop on an airplane to go on a research trip into someone’s mind. “The Inside Out” unconfirmed title excites me about the film and what new characters and sets we may meet (and see) both INSIDE and OUT of the mind. Whichever title may land on the marquee for this feature film will no doubtfully be a perfect fit for this “mindful” adventure in 2015!
