During the Lightyear Hollywood premiere on June 8, 2022, the USPS unveiled a new Pixar-themed Forever stamp set themed after the film’s star, Buzz Lightyear.
LIGHTYEAR FOREVER STAMP REVEAL
The film’s director, Angus MacLane and Producer, Galyn Susman were on hand for the exciting reveal. The stamps will be available on the USPS website when they are available later this year (UPDATED: The stamps will be available on August 3, 2022, for a limited time).

Take a closer look at the Lightyear designs and read more about the history of Pixar-themed USPS stamps below.

SEND A HELLO PIXAR STAMPS
The first pairing of Pixar-themed USPS stamps featured five designs and were part of the “Send a HELLO” campaign. First announced at the end of 2010, the stamps were released on August 19, 2011.
The five designs (sadly no longer available) are from films released between 1995 and 2009.

MAIL A SMILE PIXAR STAMPS
Following the massive success of the first wave of Pixar stamps, the “Mail a SMILE” campaign was revealed on June 1, 2012 (read about the reveal in our earlier post) and featured even more of our favorite characters.
This time, the design team really upped the colors of the stamps featuring designs from films released between 1998 and 2004. Sadly, these are also no longer available.

With the announcement of the Lightyear stamps, we can’t help but think that we need even more Pixar-themed stamps regularly released. What movies and characters would you like to see included if they made another set of 5 stamps? Leave a comment below. Also, let us know which design if your favorite from the stamps already released.
