Pixar's Soul takes home Oscar gold at the 93rd Annual Academy Awards

The 93rd Academy Awards were held tonight (April 25, 2021) and Pixar’s Soul was just awarded the win for Animated Feature Film. Taking the stage to accept the coveted award was director Pete Docter and producer Dana Murray.

Both Docter and Murray praised the cast, crew, cultural consultants on the film as well as their families. Pete ended the speech with a beautiful message, “My wish for all of us tonight is that we can follow the examples of Jazz musicians. That wherever we are, whatever we have, we turn it into something beautiful”. We couldn’t agree with that sentiment more — watch the acceptance speech embedded below

In addition, Pixar’s Soul also took home the Oscar for Best Original Score with Jon Batiste, Trent Reznor, and Atticus Ross taking the stage to accept the award. Watch the acceptance speech below.

Congratulations to the entire crew Soul team as well as the team behind Pixar’s Onward and the other fantastic nominees.
