The SAG-AFTRA Foundation will present a series of outdoor screening, titled Game Changers at the Ford Theatre in Hollywood, CA. The four-night event kicks off on Thursday, June 27, and will feature groundbreaking films and television that significantly impacted diversity and representation in media, reimagined traditional narratives, and achieved major advances in storytelling. Each of the four nights will feature special guests who will participate in a moderated conversation (prior to the screening) to provide additional insights, cultural impact, and artistic influence on their projects.
Game Changers opens with the 1991 hit Boyz N the Hood, and on night two (June 28) the series will include a screening of Toy Story — with special guests John Ratzenberger, John Morris (voice of Andy), art director Ralph Eggleston and character designer Bob Pauley. Stranger Things 3 will take place on June 29 which will include a screening of the finale episode of season 2 and the premiere episode of season 3. The Game Changers series will conclude with Thelma & Louise on June 30.
