This past week Shanghai Disney celebrated the opening of Toy Story Land, and joining in on that celebration is China Eastern Airlines who unveiled an amazing Toy Story themed airplane. On April 28, at the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, leaders of the China Eastern Airlines and the Shanghai Disney Resort held their hands upon a magical screen that opened the curtain to reveal the Toy Story-themed Airbus A330-343 B-5976 (via ChinaDaily).
The newly designed aircraft will be used for domestic routes, connecting travelers to Shanghai. In fact, the Toy Story theming goes well beyond the airplane itself, starting at check-in, each “check-in” machine features characters from the franchise. As guests board the airplane, images of Trixie, Woody, Rex and others are showcased on the overhead luggage compartments along with the signature Andy’s room wallpaper pattern — including the Shanghai Disney Resort logo. Every detail from seat to ceiling has been transformed, and we can only imagine the excitement this would bring by traveling in this unique aircraft.

If you recall, this is not the first Pixar-themed aircraft to take to the skies. Back in October 2017, Southwest Airlines unveiled a Coco-themed Boeing 737-700, which brought the music of Coco to life with a Live at 35® inflight concert performance by Anthony Gonzalez, who voices Miguel in the movie and accompanied by a guitarist.
In November 2013, Alaska Airlines had a Cars-themed Boeing 737 for its inaugural flight to take Make-A-Wish® Alaska and Washington children to the Disneyland Resort.
