The grand opening of the newly themed Pixar Pier at Disney’s California Adventure (Disneyland Resort) is mere months away, June 23, 2018.
Formally, Paradise Pier, Disney Imagineers have completely renovated and re-imagined the area creating various Pixar-themed “neighborhoods”, The Incredibles, Toy Story, Inside Out and a fourth celebrating guests favorite Pixar stories.
Announced today by ITM, the existing attraction, King Triton’s Carousel of the Sea will be completely overhauled and re-imagined into Jessie’s Critter Carousel.
As guests board Jessie’s Critter Carousel they will be able to choose from over 50 unique, brightly-colored critters with the same stylized designs previously seen in “Woody’s Roundup” (Toy Story 2) and on the Toy Story Midway Mania attraction. For an additional look at the newly announced attraction, see the embedded video below.
In addition, Disney Parks Blog shared various photos of concept art for a few Pixar-themed eateries that will help transform Pixar Pier, see details below.

Straight from the snowy mountains of the Himalayas, everyone’s favorite abominable snowman has opened up an “Adorable Snowman Frosted Treat” stand. Inspired by Monster’s, Inc.‘s lovable monster, this will be your go-to for frozen treats.

Buzz Lightyear has been switched to Spanish mode at Señor Buzz Churros. This sweet-smelling churro stand is sure to please and delight everyone, as the churro continues to be a guest-favorite Disneyland treat.

Located in the Inside Out neighborhood of Pixar Pier will be Angry Dogs, serving hot items —such as hot dogs!
Poultry Palace takes shape in the Toy Story neighborhood. Inspired by the Toy Story Toon: Small Fry, this incredible counter-service stand is designed from Bonnie’s kids-meal that makes an appearance in the film (a replica was also sold exclusively at the 2013 D23 Expo).
We just hope that actual menu items from the film make an appearance for guests to enjoy —we vote for ‘Knights of the Fried Table’!
