‘Inside Out’ & ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Nominated For Best Animated Feature Film at The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards

The talented artists at Pixar Animation Studios will be waking up excited this morning as the nominations for the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced. Marking the first time in the studio’s history that two Pixar films are honored with both Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur up for Best Animated Feature Film (see nomination list below).

The history behind the Golden Globes category for Best Animated Feature Film began back in 2007 with Pixar Animation Studios claiming the coveted award each nominated year – with the exception of 2012 awards when The Adventures of Tintin won over Cars 2.

At the 2014 Golden Globes, Pixar’s Monsters University was the studio’s first film that had been omitted from the Best Animated Feature Film category with the three nominations being The Croods, Frozen, and Despicable Me 2. The 73rd Golden Globe Awards airing live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 10, 2016, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. Be sure to stay tuned as the nominations for the 88th Academy Awards will be announced on January 14.
