The Disney Parks Panel is one of the most anticipated events at the D23 Expo as the presentation is always full of breaking news and announcements regarding new attractions and expansions within the parks.
Today it was announced that an 11-acre Toy Story Land will be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World (Florida). Since the closure of the Studio Backlot Tour (back in the Fall of 2014) rumors have swirled over what may go in its place – from a scaled-down Cars Land to a Monsters, Inc. rollercoaster fans have imagined numerous possibilities.
Two confirmed attractions revealed during the panel include a Slinky Dog-themed family-friendly rollercoaster and an alien saucer attraction featuring “The Claw”. As previously reported a third track is already underway for the popular Toy Story Midway Mania! attraction – which will almost certainly help alleviate the 90-minute wait times.
While no further details or dates were released, as we looked at the concept art we couldn’t help but notice a possible addition of Al’s Toy Barn. Fans in the Pixar Post Forum have been discussing their ideas on the expansion — be sure to sign up and share your thoughts with other Pixar fans.
