Brave Wins at the 40th Annual Annie Awards

Tonight (February 2, 2013) is the 40th Annual Annie Awards hosted by Leonard Maltin, which awards accomplishments in animation – and tonight Pixar’s Brave was honored.

Brave won the Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement, Editorial in a Feature Film. Accepting the award were Nicholas C. Smith A.C.E,  Robert Grahamjones A.C.E, and David Suther. The trio gave many thanks to the crew, directors, and producers.

The Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement, Production Design in an Animated Feature went to Steve Pilcher for Brave. This is Steve’s first award (as he noted on stage) and he thanked his fellow nominees as well as a BIG heartfelt thank you to his wife. Steve went on to thank Brenda Chapman, Mark Andrews, Katherine Sarafian, John Lasseter as well as the brilliant production crew. Last but not least Steve thanked his art crew.
