‘Finding Dory’ Honored With Nominations for BAFTAs, Visual Effects Society Awards and Producers Guild of America Awards

‘Finding Dory’ honored with four nominations at the 15th Annual VES Awards.

Today, the Visual Effects Society announced the nominees for the 15th Annual VES Awards with Pixar Animation Studios receiving a total of 4 nominations for Finding Dory.

The Visual Effects Society (VES) is the entertainment industry’s only organization representing the full breadth of visual effects practitioners including artists, technologists, model makers, educators, studio leaders, and producers in all areas of entertainment from film, television, commercials, and games.

In past award ceremonies, Pixar has been awarded their nominated category (with The Good Dinosaur and Inside Out winning big at last year’s ceremony), below is a list of all of the animation-related categories with the Pixar nominations.

“The artistry, ingenuity, and passion of visual effects practitioners around the world have come together to create truly remarkable imagery in a variety of media,…We are seeing best-in-field work that elevates the art of storytelling and engages the audience in new and innovative ways. The VES Awards is the only venue that showcases and honors these outstanding artists across a wide range of disciplines, and we are extremely proud of all our nominees!” – Mike Chambers, VES Chair
