Artists Help Japan – Pixar Artist eBay Auction – Updated

UPDATED – All of the listings we mentioned below have now closed and we’re happy to say that we were lucky enough to have won the Brave blanket (pictured below). Additionally, according to our quick math, Artists Help Japan has raised approximately $2,300.00 to support MercyCorps. Congratulations to all the winners!

The great Pixar artist, Dice Tsutsumi is showing his continued support of the earthquake that greatly impacted Japan two years ago through Artists Help Japan.

Last year, we posted previews of the outstanding auctions that were offered (including the amazing Cars jacket that we won), and this year’s auctions are also packed with a collection of Dice’s personal Pixar memorabilia as well as original artwork.

Below is a collection of some (and certainly not all) of the items that are available for auction – click any of the links (below the images) to head directly to eBay (UPDATED: Links removed as they are no longer active on eBay).

There are many more items that will be ending in approximately one day so be sure to click here to view them all. Dice has also posted this official statement from his Artists Help Japan page –

About Artists Help Japan’s Mission:

On March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck Japan, the most powerful know earthquake to ever hit the country. The shock caused extensive flooding, fires, infrastructure damage and multiple nuclear accidents. It has become the most expensive natural disaster in world history.

2-years later, we are reminded much progress has been made but there is still much work to be done.

Artists Help Japan is a charity movement initiated by Dice Tsutsumi, an art director at Pixar Animation Studios. From March 6th to March 12th, 2013, Artists Help Japan will host an exclusive auction, here on eBay, of original artwork, extremely rare memorabilia, and autographed gifts.

100% of the proceeds will support MercyCorps’ tireless efforts in supporting the country of Japan. Over the last two year, MercyCorps has provided basic supplies, mobile shops, transportation as well as initiated economic and environmental programs within the affected regions.

We believe that artists have a special role, and responsibility, to contribute to the society, especially when in need. Please join us for this exciting auction. Follow the links below to learn more, thank you. Artists Help Japan
