‘Luca’ Short Film ‘Ciao Alberto’ Premiering November 12 During Disney+ Day

Ciao Alberto Luca short film

The Autumn season is upon us for those in the Northern Hemisphere, and many people are trying to squeeze in on more warm-weather adventure before the cooler temperatures approach. Luckily, we’re going to get one more sun-soaked gift from Pixar.

Announced today, September 21, Pixar revealed, Ciao Alberto, a new short film based on the animated film, Luca — set to premiere on Disney+, November 12, 2021, as part of Disney+ Day.

Additional details haven’t been revealed about the short yet, but what will the story touch on? Although “ciao” can be used as a word to say hello or goodbye, we wonder if this short will explore more of what happens with Alberto and Luca after they separate at the end of the film.

UPDATED – On Twitter, Pixar Story Supervisor, McKenna Harris, updated her Twitter bio to note that she is the Director of Ciao Alberto. We’re sure this was an easy transition as she was the Story Lead on Luca
