Did you know that today, January 19 is National Popcorn Day? In honor of this delightful day, Pixar revealed the very first trailer (embedded below) for the new Disney+ mini shorts series called, Pixar Popcorn. Chief Creative Officer, Pete Docter first announced this project during the 2020 Disney Investor Day on December 10, noting, “Pixar Popcorn is a collection of mini-shorts featuring your favorite Pixar characters in all-new bite-sized stories created by Pixar animators.”
The full collection of 10 mini shorts features will premiere Friday, January 22. Below are the titles and run times for each short. A fun surprise on each Pixar Popcorn short is the Pixar title card scene features a different popcorn animation with Luxo the lamp.
