It’s Official – Coco 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD to release on Feb 27 – Digital on Feb 13 (Bonus Feature List Included)

Coco 4K Special Features

As speculated in our post from January 4, Pixar’s Coco will be released digitally on February 13 and on physical media on February 27, 2018. This is great news for fans as the release is only one month away. Read more on the special features as well as the different versions below.

What is interesting the is speed the film is being released — we were surprised that it was hitting shelves so quickly since it’s still pulling in $15 million per week domestically.

After seven weeks in U.S. theaters it is pulling in $7 million more per week than Inside Out or Finding Dory was after seven weeks (Note, Finding Dory, is the top-grossing animated film of all time)…and $10 million more per week than The Good Dinosaur was after seven weeks in theaters. It seems like Coco is a slow and steady grower that may have benefited from a little extra time.

That being said, the box office does slow way down (typically) after the 10th week, which is when the release will be out. But, will this chop the film off from potentially more theatrical profits since it seems to still be holding strong.

The last three weekend pulls have averaged $15 million each week (domestically). What are your thoughts? Leave a comment below, or chat about it with other Pixar fans in the Pixar Post Forum thread centered around the in-home release of Coco.
