Today, Sphero announced the release of their Ultimate Lighting McQueen with app-enabled technology using the latest advancements to create the most realistic and interactive Lighting McQueen to date. Packed with an abundance of animatronic features, including animated eyes, an animatronic mouth, emotive suspension, and hybrid performance specs (driving, drifting, racing, and reactive touch), making the Ultimate Lightning McQueen able to connect to fans like never before.

By connecting to the app (available on iOS and Android devices), fans will be able to maneuver Lighting McQueen easily and watch him respond to their commands. When Lightning McQueen isn’t in training mode, users can relax while watching Disney•Pixar’s Cars and enable the “Watch With Me” mode, where he will react to the film in real-time.
“From the beginning, we wanted to make Ultimate Lightning McQueen feel as real as he does in the film,” said Paul Berberian, CEO of Sphero. “In order to create a scaled down version of his big personality, we worked closely with the team at Pixar to ensure we were getting his nuances just right – such as leaning into turns and expressive facial and body movements.”
