One of the more common questions we received after Toy Story of TERROR! was aired on television last fall was, “where can I watch it again”? Today we have learned that the release of Pixar’s first 30-minute television special on Blu Ray / DVD (along with a slew of extras) will be released on August 19, 2014. In addition to Toy Story of TERROR!, the release will also contain the previous set of Toy Story Toons – Partysaurus Rex, Hawaiian Vacation, and Small Fry.
Below is a list of the special features included on the Blu Ray release
- Feature – Toy Story of TERROR! (22:00)
- “Toy Story Toons” Shorts
- Hawaiian Vacation (5:50)
- Small Fry (7:07)
- Partysaurus Rex (6:31)
- Audio Commentaries
- Toy Story of Terror!
- Hawaiian Vacation
- Small Fry
- Partysaurus Rex
- Team of Specialists
- Director Angus MacLane goes deep behind the scenes to introduce the team of specialists required to make Toy Story OF TERROR!
- 3 Deleted Scenes + Editor Introductions
- Pencil Topper Trilogy
- Travel Brochures

It should be noted that there is a difference between the Blu-ray and DVD releases – the DVD version does not contain the 3 additional deleted scenes with editor introductions. It also appears that the Disney Movies Anywhere edition won’t contain the audio commentary tracks.
Additionally, on August 19 as well, be sure to also log into Disney Movies Anywhere (online or app) to view all of the special features above as well as two extra bonus features listed below (only available through Disney Movies Anywhere).
- A new short piece about film references featuring Mr. Pricklepants
- Deleted Scene – Bob’s Boatyard w/Editor’s Introduction (2:00)
I can tell you that I am beyond excited for the audio commentary tracks for Toy Story of TERROR! and Partysaurus Rex, as those have been previously unreleased! The “Team of Specialists” feature which looks at the making of Toy Story of TERROR! will also be astounding I’m sure. If you haven’t listened to our exclusive interview with Michal Makarewicz (supervising animator on Toy Story of TERROR! be sure to check that out as well).
UPDATED – Pixar has uploaded an official trailer announcing the release of the Blu Ray to their YouTube channel.
